Cancellation

  • Your deposit is non-refundable
  • It can't be moved to another trip or date
  • You can pass your place to someone else

Force majeure & delays

  • No refund for unused facilities if force majeure changes or cancels a trip
  • Arriving late at the meeting point counts as withdrawing, with no refund

Getting to Sumba & Transportation Options

Arrive
Tambolaka Airport (TMC), Southwest Sumba. Pick-up is 11.00–12.00 WITA at the airport or a hotel nearby, so arrive the day before or on a flight landing before noon.
Depart
Waingapu Airport (WGP), East Sumba. The trip ends at 11.00 WITA, and flying home the next day is advised.
On the road
The open trip travels by Innova. Private groups of 6–10 use 2 cars.
Flights
Not included. Buy your own round-trip tickets; the itinerary can't be adjusted to flight times.

Step-by-Step Guide to Booking Your Trip

Step 1: Choose a date

Open trips depart every Thursday in 2026. Private trips run on the date you choose, subject to accommodation.

Step 2: Book on WhatsApp

Message us on WhatsApp +62 811-994-1919 with the names and ages of all participants, a contact number, group size, and pick-up and drop-off locations.

Step 3: Pay

Pay a deposit of at least 50%, then the balance no later than 14 days before departure, or in full if you book within 14 days. Send the transfer receipt on WhatsApp.

Step 4: Travel

Arrive at Tambolaka Airport before 12.00 WITA, or the day before, and meet your tour leader.

How much does a Sumba trip cost in 2026?
The 4D3N open trip is USD 459 per person. Private trips cost USD 390 to USD 1,020 per person, depending on trip length and group size.

Are prices per person?
Yes. Trip prices are per person and nett. Room upgrades are priced per night and per room, and the open trip private room per room.

Do prices include flights?
No. Flight tickets and personal expenses are not included.

What do room upgrades cost?
Per night per room: villa + USD 35 (1 bed) or + USD 40 (2 beds), suite + USD 15 or VIP room + USD 45 at Sinar Tambolaka, deluxe room + USD 30 or junior suite + USD 55 at Padadita. Lelewatu Sumba Resort: ask for price.

Can I pay in two stages?
Yes. A deposit of at least 50%, then the balance no later than 14 days before departure.
