Arrive
Tambolaka Airport (TMC), Southwest Sumba. Pick-up is 11.00–12.00 WITA at the airport or a hotel nearby, so arrive the day before or on a flight landing before noon.
Depart
Waingapu Airport (WGP), East Sumba. The trip ends at 11.00 WITA, and flying home the next day is advised.
On the road
The open trip travels by Innova. Private groups of 6–10 use 2 cars.
Flights
Not included. Buy your own round-trip tickets; the itinerary can't be adjusted to flight times.

How to Book

How to Book Your Sumba Surf Charter

Four steps, all handled on WhatsApp with our CS team.

Step 1: Choose a date

Open trips depart every Thursday in 2026. Private trips run on the date you choose, subject to accommodation.

Step 2: Book on WhatsApp

Message us on WhatsApp +62 811-994-1919 with the names and ages of all participants, a contact number, group size, and pick-up and drop-off locations.

Step 3: Pay

Pay a deposit of at least 50%, then the balance no later than 14 days before departure, or in full if you book within 14 days. Send the transfer receipt on WhatsApp.

Step 4: Travel

Arrive at Tambolaka Airport before 12.00 WITA, or the day before, and meet your tour leader.

The deposit is non-refundable and can't be moved to another date, but you can pass your place to someone else. Booking terms & FAQ

Package Questions

What's the difference between the open trip and a private trip?
The open trip is a shared 4D3N departure every Thursday, with a minimum of 4 participants and twin-share rooms. A private trip is for your own group from 2 participants, on your chosen date, as 4D3N, 5D4N or 6D5N.

Which trip length should I choose?
4D3N covers the core route from west to east. 5D4N adds Lapopu Waterfall and Purukambera Savanna. 6D5N adds Waikelo Rice Fields, Weekacura and Matayangu waterfalls and Mondu Hill, with a second night in Southwest Sumba.

Are the prices nett?
Yes. Flight tickets and personal expenses are not included.

How is the private trip price set?
Per person, by group size from 2 to 10 participants, as shown in the price table. Groups of 6–10 travel in 2 cars.

Can I have a private room on the open trip?
Yes. A private or couple room costs USD 99 extra per room, subject to availability. Otherwise two participants of the same gender share a room.

Is there an age limit?
Open trip participants should be 10–50 and physically fit, as the route includes steep, slippery trekking to waterfalls. Outside that range, you can take a private trip.

What if my flight lands after noon?
Trips start at 12.00 WITA, so arrive the day before or on a flight landing before noon. The itinerary can't be adjusted to flight schedules.
